ABOUT THE EVENT

Fancy a Crafty Sunday? Of course you do. This is one of a series of arts and crafts workshops, taking place simultaneously.

In this relaxed and joyful wire sculpting workshop, you will create wire and paper wreath or swag. This workshop is suitable for adults and accompanied children 15+.

Lise Bennett is a mixed media artist, with over 23 years of experience in arts for health and well-being, as well as having extensive practise in creating her own work in textiles, paint and theatre design, making puppets, props and backcloths.

She has sold work in galleries, made commissions, run hundreds of workshops for various groups, in many artforms, and created puppets, props and scenery for theatre companies, performers and authors.

Her interest in wire really began when she moved to a village in Derbyshire which had one of the world’s most respected Wireworks, Richard Johnson & Nephew. She has recently been part of a collaborative, Arts Council funded residency which explored the uses of the wire they made, and its impact on the world.

This event is suitable for adults and accompanied children aged 15-18

As always, refreshments, including home made cake, will be on offer.
