ABOUT THE EVENT
They describe themselves as:
Established in 2003, we are a versatile group that performs under the patronage of the Emmanu’-EL Apostolic Church based
in Leicester.
To raise people's spirits, is at the very centre of our hearts in everything we do and has led to an official recognition of our service to the community by The Lord Mayor of Leicester in 2015.
The choir has acclaimed national awards in being crowned the winners of the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the year 2023. Additionally, we have been honoured to sing on diverse platforms, from being the first Gospel Choir to sing for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on her Silver Jubilee in Leicester.
In 2018 we were on Britain’s Got Talent as the DMU Gospel Choir and made it to the semi-finals.
