Flamenco! Music, Dance and Tapas

After a SELL OUT appearance a couple of years back, we are delighted to welcome Lourdes Fernandez and her musicians back to Burbage Festival, for an evening of  high energy Flamenco dance, traditional music and Tapas.

Lourdes has been dancing since she was five years old. From that moment on, her whole life developed through the learning of flamenco. She studied dance at the Madrid Conservatory, graduated at Rey Juan Carlos University and completed her Masters in the Performing Arts. She also taught dance at the American Saint Louis University of Madrid and participated in the International Dance Gala for UNESCO. Currently based in London, Lourdes has toured much of the UK with her band of traditional musicians. 

This year, Lourdes presents, Raices an hetrogeneous interpretation of the art, drawing on but departing from traditional flamenco in search of an eclectic style of music inspired by folk, andalusian copla, jazz and other styles. 

During the interval, a light tapas snack box will be served courtesy of The Loquaciuos Baker here in Burbage. This, together with a glass of fresh and fruity sangria (or soft drink) are included in the price of your ticket. Meat, vegetarian and vegan options available (please select appropriate ticket, below).

This event is appropriate for an adult audience and children aged 14+. Doors open at 7PM
