Alison Wheeler

Fantastic lead singer of The Beautiful South  - a band that has sold millions of singles and albums around the world. Not ready to quit when the band split, Alison continues to perform and impress audiences with her stunning vocal range and style.

 

Southern Beauty is a collective of talented musicians founded by Alison Wheeler, Phil Southgate and Phillipa Leigh. With their exciting approach, Southern Beauty have reimagined many famous Beautiful South songs with a jazz, bossa and avant garde twist as well as delivering captivating renditions of classic standards.

Phil Southgate - Sensational pianist and musical director.

He was a Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Musician finalist, tutored by jazz legend Digby

Fairweather









Phillipa Leigh - Award winning singer songwriter and ukulele player. Phillipa trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and has performed at Ronnie Scotts with Jivin' Miss Daisy






James Harrison

 Is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist who has been immersed in the world of music since the age of 16. In October 2023, he joined Southern Beauty on Bass. Expect nothing less than pure passion and talent when James takes the stage.







Matt Gornicki

Matt is an outstanding drummer with a diverse repertoire. He has played extensively around the UK and Europe with many well known acts. He joined Southern Beauty on drums in June 2024
